EPA urged to ban spraying of antibiotics on US food crops amid resistance fears

Agricultural industry sprays 8m pounds of antibiotics and antifungal pesticides on US food crops annually. Public health and farm worker groups have filed a legal petition to stop the use of antibiotics on food crops in the US. The petition gives the EPA about five years to respond.
