He has served in a president's Cabinet, spent a great deal of time in the White House and on Capitol Hill, worked in the Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission, and argued before the Supreme Court. He is furious at people who are helping Trump trash the institutions. He admires the public servants he worked with over the last 50 years.
The Western Veil Nebula (NGC 6960) is the shock front of an exploded star, still expanding through space 2,400 light-years from Earth. The star collapsed and detonated roughly 20,000 years ago, when the last ice age was at its coldest and the first humans had not yet crossed into North America. Over 200 people attended a Saturday morning protest in Lake Oswego, OR. In Bennington, Vermont, there was a Protest in Costume event today.

Eitan Aliyev, 22, enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces in August 2022, motivated by his love for his country and his desire to contribute. He lost fellow soldiers and fought in Gaza and on Israel’s northern front during the war that began on October 7, and developed severe post-traumatic stress disorder. After completing his military service, he found himself in an exhausting struggle to have his condition recognized as a service-related disability. With free legal assistance from the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, he finally received official recognition and began his rehabilitation.
